Maria Ashram

Situated at the higher ranges of the Himalayan foothills, Maria Ashram Ghat looks after adolescent girls and adult women, who are deserted by their families. The residents include both physically and mentally challenged females. The nuns look after them and provide them with necessary medical treatments and train them in various skills like puppet making, doll designing, incense making, bag making, sweater-weaving etc. These girls and ladies need round the clock attention and care and the nuns are always with them, catering to their needs.
